The Commercial Finance Analyst – Leaf Finance plays a crucial role in supporting the Kushtia Leaf Division (KLD) by ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and business partnering. This role involves financial oversight of operational activities, compliance guidance, and providing support in key decision-making processes related to leaf buying and Kushtia operational activities.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:
1. Kushtia Overhead (OH) Management & Business Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to the Kushtia Leaf Division (KLD) Team to ensure efficient overhead cost management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize cost structures while maintaining operational efficiency.
2. Buying Support – KLD Leaf Buying
- Support the Leaf Buying process by providing financial analysis and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control related to leaf buying activities.
3. Compliance & Operational Governance
- Ensure adherence to financial and operational compliance requirements within KLD activities.
- Conduct compliance guidance sessions and refreshers for the KLD team to uphold regulatory and internal policy standards.
- Perform leaf buying reviews to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to compliance frameworks.
4. Kushtia Operational Support
- Provide financial and operational support to ensure smooth execution of activities in Kushtia operations.
- Assist in financial planning, performance tracking, and reporting for operational processes.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

- Collaborate with key stakeholders within KLD to provide financial insights, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial decision-making.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in financial modeling, P&L and budget management, and financial reporting tools.
- Needs strong expertise in Excel. Experience working in SAP is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of financial compliance, audit standards, and risk management.

ROLE POSITIONING & OBJECTIVES
This role ensures the seamless administration of Finance functions, aligning with global standards while addressing local requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:
1. Support to Head of Finance and provide administrative support to the team for events/ Day Out, Calendar and Meeting management, Stationery & Pantry Management, Pool car, tracking Joiners/Movers/Leavers/IAs for mail group updates, SAP and other system access and request management, Letter Drafting Support, Finance IA Recharges, etc.
- Successfully manage meetings & track Area Head of Finance’s Calendar and appointments; support Area Head of Finance with Bank/Financials (if needed), regulatory paperwork, system and access related work, and external stakeholders. Manage Finance’s Local and International Travel, including Finance visitor’s travel.
- Organize venue, food, and travel for Finance team day out/event/ team celebration/ birthday by engaging vendors; provide support for Finance training.
- Manage supplies for stationery & food (Floor Pantry/Support staff management), prompt coordination with Facilities team & ensure pool car support for the Finance team.
- Issue new joiner medical letter and update in BD Finance, BD Managers and other relevant email groups.
- Support Finance related document distribution, calendar and diary allocation and distribution for Finance team and their stakeholders, etc.
2. Financial Coordination – Budget Management and Vendor Payments (Both Local & Foreign)
- Manage the Finance NEC Budget in consultation with Planning & Reporting Manager & update actuals monthly and review with Area Head of Corporate Finance monthly.
- Update the finance team on the savings from the given budget and make provisions for the pending GRs. Track all costs that are to be recharged to intercompany entities. Keep track of open PO to escalate GR and payment within the given timeline.
3.Vendor Enlistment, Agreements (Icertis), AFC and Vendor management
- Document collection from vendors to enlist them in the system ensuring compliance.
- Completion of anti-financial crime risk assessment for vendors.
- Enlist new vendors for business requirements. Raise Icertis request and support in the execution of agreements. Clear all backlog and escalate system issues on time if there are any.
- Raise the purchase order and goods received as per company policy.
- Sort issues of the vendors related to the service they will be providing
4.Support the Finance Team for Local & International Travel
- Support Finance Team for Local Travel [Budget Approval, Traveler’s profile update/ Approvals / Purchase Order / Ticket Booking].
- Arrange VISA for International Travel.
- Ensure compliance with Ticket Booking as per policy.
- Arrange FOREX for the traveller and settle the bills upon return.
- Accommodation for Local and International travel
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Collaboration with Internal & External Stakeholders:
- To have a successful collaboration with all functions Executive Assistants and others as required to complete business responsibilities.
- Develop a working relationship with vendors to ensure proper supply of Goods and services as per business requirements.

ROLE OBJECTIVE
The role is responsible for implementing the Area/Regional leaf operations plan that meets the extension, volume & quality objectives by building effective partnership with registered farmers in order to ensure buying only the supervised run of crop optimally & efficiently.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensure delivery of all sorts of regional reporting and drive and execute regional projects
- Execute area Leaf Operations plan to meet extension, volume, and quality objectives
- Maintain procedures for farmer registration and ensure timely distribution of crop inputs and support programs
- Build working relationships with field technicians and provide training to update their knowledge
- Implement leaf best practices to improve quality and optimize farmers’ cost of production, including IPM, mechanization, hybrid varieties, soil fertility, energy conservation, post-harvest, barn and curing management
- Establish win-win partnerships with farmers through phase wise technical training and extension services to gain community support and loyalty
- Formulate and implement operational/tactical leaf buying plans to ensure buying, supervised run of crop with desired quality, grade mix, moisture, and price while following BOS, local legislation and ESG guidelines
- Implement different ESG initiatives (farmers living income, afforestation, women empowerment, sustainable wood source, elimination of child labour program) as per Regional plan
- Collect and provide industry insights for better strategy formulation and drive and implement digitalization practices in growing activitities
- Drive risk assessment processes in own area of operation and implement on-ground measures while ensuring all company policy related to control compliance, health & safety (EH&S) are followed
