Role: Permanent | Reporting to: Engineering Manager | Assignment: Must be willing to work and be assigned in Kushtia
Role Summary
This role supports the smooth and safe operation of the GLT factory in Bangladesh by overseeing maintenance planning, procurement, execution, and reporting. You’ll ensure mechanical systems run efficiently and reliably while upholding safety standards, scheduling work, resolving issues, coordinating contractors, and developing the team through a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Management: Foster One Team spirit; set goals in line with strategy; lead, coach, and evaluate team performance.
- Planning: Conduct annual/strategic Opex/Capex studies; prepare ASP/OL budgets; align specs with function heads; manage SAP (PR, GR, monitoring) to meet deadlines.
- Opex Procurement & Execution: Build maintenance plan with functional heads and GIP; pre-screen suppliers; manage vendors for quality and safety; control expenses and flag delays.
- Installation, Maintenance & Reporting: Provide monthly Opex/Capex status; support new installs and preventive maintenance; address breakdowns; sign off completed projects; maintain SAP PM/equipment records; analyze downtime and recommend corrective actions.
- Policy & Best Practices: Ensure timely spare-part requests; monitor team spend; deliver SAP PM end-user training; maintain ISO docs and support IWS initiatives.
- EHS & Safety: Follow safety policies; use PPE; report hazards; ensure team compliance; run risk assessments; close actions on time and promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years in a supervisory role covering projects, maintenance, production, and planning in manufacturing machinery.
- Fluent in Bengali & English; working knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong visualization; ability to read drawings and engineering documents.
- Knowledge of ASP processes/systems (LPT / SAP) and AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Proven safety leadership; analytical, data-driven decision making.
- Excellent interpersonal communication; people leadership skills.
