Job Summary:
The role involves managing the end-to-end process of structuring sustainable finance projects, preparing refinancing proposals, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on green finance initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial analytical skills, a solid understanding of industry trends, and the ability to build effective partnerships that ensure regulatory compliance and drive sustainable portfolio growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Origination & Client Relationship Management
- Conduct regular client visits to assess refinancing and sustainable financing opportunities.
- Generate and follow up on leads for refinance, green finance, and project-based funding.
- Maintain performance and health of the assigned client portfolio.
Financial & Project Analysis
- Analyze client financial statements, forecasts, and project feasibility.
- Develop financial models in Excel to assess structuring options.
- Prepare industry reports, sustainability assessments, and economic forecasts to support investment decisions.
Documentation & Proposal Development
- Prepare detailed Information Memoranda, visit reports, and refinancing applications in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Develop documentation for syndicated lending, green finance certification, and Bangladesh Bank refinancing schemes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with external stakeholders including Bangladesh Bank, BFIU, NBFIs, corporate clients, and syndicated lenders.
- Collaborate with internal departments (CRM, Treasury, Operations, Risk) to ensure successful project execution.
Regulatory Reporting & Governance
- Ensure timely submission of internal and regulatory reports, including those related to refinancing schemes, sustainability assessments, and green bond utilization.
- Maintain full compliance with Bangladesh Bank guidelines and promote ethical governance practices.
MIS & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain MIS related to structured finance, refinance exposure, and sustainable finance performance.
- Monitor ongoing project KPIs and repayment schedules for early identification of credit risks.
Key Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field from a reputed university.
- Background in project finance, environmental economics, or sustainable development will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in a bank or financial institution.
- Exposure to structured finance, green finance, or project assessment preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and credit evaluation skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; expertise in financial modeling is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Sound knowledge of Bangladesh Bank refinance schemes, ESG frameworks, and sustainable finance regulations.
