Job Purpose

S/he will be responsible to assist management in developing poultry and livestock strategies of the programme, identify challenges and provide context specific advanced technical support and capacity development of field staffs, specially Sector Specialist, Poultry and Livestock. S/he will also be responsible to build networks with relevant stakeholders within and outside BRAC to ensure required services to programme participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management in developing poultry and livestock related strategies through capturing learnings from field and will act as a bridge between head office and field to ensure smooth flow of information.
  • Provide region specific advanced required technical support to the field.
  • Conduct regular field visits, proper follow-up and monitoring to identify region specific participants’ needs and challenges, provide necessary guidance and support to resolve for expected results.

  • Organise poor people by forming Village Development Organisation (VDO) and by arranging regular meeting. Increase Village Development Organisation (VDO) member’s awareness about their rights, identify their problems and way out the solutions.
  • Organise poor people by forming Village Organisation (VO) and ensure their financial inclusion by admission, loan disburse and by savings and installment collection. Decrease local money lenders activities.
  • Organise community people by forming Development Support Group (DSG) and sensitize DSG members to the poor people to mobilise resources and support them. Act to eliminate early marriage, stop violence against women and child.
  • Organise training, meeting, workshop, day observation and different events at field level.

Job Purpose

Responsible for reporting of Sustainability Disclosure (S1) and Climate Disclosure (S2) under the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). S/he will be leading the development of BRAC’s GHG inventory and emissions reporting following GHG protocol as part of the Climate Disclosure (S2). This is an organizational approach and the role aims to support the Programmes and Departments in developing their GHG emission inventories including Scope 1, 2, and 3.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting methodologies following international standards (e.g., GHG Protocol).
  • Develop comprehensive GHG emissions inventories (including Scope 1, 2, and 3) for BRAC programmes.
  • Maintain and update GHG emission inventories, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and voluntary reporting frameworks.
  • Conduct corporate and project-level carbon footprint assessments.
  • Support organizations in setting science-based targets (SBTs) and developing net-zero strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and disclosures for sustainability reporting frameworks such as IFRS Sustainability Standards (ISSB).
  • Development and implementation of carbon reduction strategies, including energy efficiency measures and renewable energy integration.
  • Analyse climate and energy policies and their impact on emissions reporting and reduction targets.
