Core Business Application and Service Lead Engineer

Job Overview

Banglalink Digital Communications is looking for a Core Business Application and Service Lead Engineer to ensure the availability, stability, and continuous improvement of Digital BSS systems. The role will focus on application support, system enhancements, change management, vendor coordination, testing, reporting, and delivering business solutions aligned with stakeholder requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for the availability of Digital BSS systems and follow incident, change, availability, capacity, and other standard processes to ensure overall DBSS solution availability.
• Analyze and propose new developments, including application software updates, security patching, and new business solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate on change requirements, feasibility testing, and development activities with vendors where applicable.
• Deploy new changes and patches in BSS systems while ensuring compliance with IT Change Management policies and testing requirements.
• Raise operational problems, queries, and concerns with vendors through information requests or problem reports as per maintenance agreements.
• Validate deliverables in testing environments and implement change requests and service request deliverables in production systems.
• Manage and report DBSS product and promotion-related changes while tracking product and development deliverables.
• Generate and submit fixed and ad-hoc reports, including monthly reports, BTRC reports, and revenue assurance supporting reports based on stakeholder requirements.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

• BSc in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent from any UGC-approved university.

Experience

• 6–8 years of relevant experience.

Required Capabilities

• Advanced knowledge of GSM technology and Telecom Revenue Management platforms.
• End-to-end knowledge of BSS systems and charging systems.
• Basic knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle and PL/SQL programming.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Java and C#.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems including Unix and Linux.
• Good knowledge of UAT and software testing techniques.
• Skilled in solution design and project management.
