Job Description

The Senior Counselor – Australia & New Zealand Division will guide students throughout their journey, from course and institution selection to admission, documentation, and visa processing, while providing professional and personalized counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one counseling to students regarding study options, course selection, and career pathways in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Conduct consultations with students and guardians through in-person meetings, phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and social media.
  • Assist students throughout the complete admission process, including university/college selection, application submission, SOP guidance, documentation, offer letters, and payment procedures.
  • Guide students through Australian and New Zealand student visa processes, including financial, health insurance, and other relevant requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential student records and case files.
  • Stay updated on university/college admission requirements, scholarships, visa regulations, immigration policies, and education sector developments in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with partner institutions, university representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with the marketing, admission, visa, and operations teams to ensure smooth and timely processing of student applications.
  • Regularly follow up with students and parents through calls, WhatsApp, email, and social media.
  • Monitor application progress and ensure students receive timely updates at every stage.
  • Achieve individual and team targets while maintaining professional and ethical counseling standards.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management to support overall organizational goals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in educational consultancy, student counseling, or admission processing for Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand university/college admission procedures and student visa requirements.
  • Good understanding of Australian AQF, education pathways, regional study options, scholarships, and post-study work opportunities.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand qualification pathways, institutions, scholarships, and post-study work opportunities will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of current student visa requirements and genuine student requirements for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong counseling ability with patience, empathy, and a student-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple student cases and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Docs, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills will be an advantage.
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, strong work ethic, and high ethical standards.
  • Strong follow-up, relationship-building, and team-working skills.
