Stewardship Officer - Rangpur

British American Tobacco Bangladesh is hiring a Stewardship Officer for its Rangpur territory to work with farmers in the field and carry out stewardship, governance, compliance and audit work for Leaf Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular field visits and engage directly with farmers in the assigned territory
  • Perform stewardship, governance and compliance activities, carry out audits and monitor operational standards
  • Analyse field and operational data, prepare reports and keep accurate records
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders and support sustainability and leaf operations initiatives
  • Balance field work with office based reporting and analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Economics, Soil Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or a related science
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to 4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, auditing and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and MS Office
  • Excellent Bangla and English communication and stakeholder management
  • Willing to travel extensively; valid driving licence and willing to ride a motorbike in the territory
