Key Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental and social compliance in line with the ESIA, the Environmental Clearance Certificate and Bangladesh law
  • Run the Environmental and Social Management System and its management plans
  • Oversee environmental and social requirements across contractors and consultants
  • Monitor construction impacts, run audits and inspections, and support monthly project reporting
  • Lead environmental emergency preparedness, spill response and incident investigation

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years in environmental management on large infrastructure, ports or heavy industrial construction
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related
  • Experience with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines and DoE permitting
  • A similar role on at least two projects above USD 100 million
  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor highly desirable; NEBOSH IGC or IEMA preferred
  • Fluent English and Bengali
