Job Overview

The Head of Internal Control & Compliance Division (ICCD) will act as the internal watchdog of NRBC Bank PLC, safeguarding the Bank’s governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards. This senior leadership role oversees the total administration of ICC, promotes a culture of compliance, and ensures the Bank’s operations remain aligned with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as internal watchdog and uphold high ethical standards in all professional actions.
• Contribute to the overall financial health of the Bank through strong control and compliance oversight.
• Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines.
• Monitor and assess compliance with internal and external laws, policies, and regulatory expectations.
• Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify compliance gaps and risks.
• Prepare reports on compliance status and present findings to senior stakeholders and the Board.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain open communication on compliance issues.
• Administer and mentor all units within the Internal Control & Compliance Division (ICCD).
• Collaborate with Head Office departments, branches and subsidiaries to assess and manage compliance, AML & CFT, and other core risks.
• Advise on improvements to operational excellence and clear lines of accountability.
• Submit periodic reports to the Managing Director & CEO in a timely manner.

Educational Requirements

• Postgraduate/Master’s degree in any discipline from reputed public or UGC-approved private university.
• MBA or other relevant professional qualifications preferred.
• No 3rd division/class in any academic record.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 15 years of banking experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership, including head-of-division roles in banks or FIs.
• Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management, and/or legal roles.
• Proven track record in managing large portfolios while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining quality.
• Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations and ability to analyze complex compliance issues.
• Extensive practical knowledge of Banking laws, Bank Company Act, Islamic Banking Guidelines, loan recovery processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Leadership & Vision: Develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy aligned with the Bank’s digital leadership aspirations.
• Digital Transformation: Drive innovation in mobile, internet, agent, and ATM banking; FinTech partnerships; API banking; and customer-centric digital solutions.
• Core Systems Excellence: Ensure uninterrupted performance, upgrades, and seamless integration of Core Banking System (CBS) and mission-critical applications.
• Cybersecurity & Risk Governance: Implement world-class cybersecurity practices, robust data privacy frameworks, and business continuity measures.
• Emerging Technologies: Champion adoption of AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cloud, and Data Analytics to deliver intelligent banking experiences.
• Data & Analytics: Utilize big data and BI tools for predictive insights, fraud prevention, and personalized customer journeys.

Educational Requirements

• Graduation/Post-Graduation in CSE, ICT, EEE, MIS or related fields from reputed public or UGC-approved private university.
• Professional certifications such as CFM, CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, AWS/Azure/GCP are strong advantages.
• No 3rd division/class or equivalent CGPA/GPA in any academic record.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 12 years progressive IT experience in Financial Institutions, with at least 5 years in Head/Deputy Head of IT, CIO, or CITO roles in banks.
• Proven track record in large-scale IT transformation, CBS migration, digital platform launches, and FinTech integrations.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity, IT governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud, AI, Blockchain, API ecosystems, DevOps, and modern IT architectures.
• Excellent project and vendor management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to design innovative, customer-centric IT solutions driving growth and efficiency.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills, with clear alignment of IT strategy to business goals.
