Head of Compliance (HoC)

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC is hiring a Head of Compliance in Dhaka to lead its compliance function as the bank’s second line of defence under Bangladesh Bank’s ICMS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the annual Compliance Risk Assessment and risk-based compliance monitoring plans
  • Oversee and challenge the first line on Bangladesh Bank circulars, AML/CFT rules and statutory laws
  • Implement Departmental Control Function Checklists and regulatory reporting frameworks
  • Report significant non-compliance and regulatory breaches to the MAC and CEO
  • Advise MANCOM on compliance matters

Requirements

  • Master’s in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Banking or relevant discipline
  • FCA, FCCA, CIA, CISA or relevant compliance certification highly preferred
  • 15 years of banking experience, at least 7 in core compliance, regulatory affairs or risk oversight
  • Deep understanding of Bangladesh Bank circulars, foreign exchange regulations and AML/CFT rules
