Head of Financial Planning, Analysis and Business Finance

Mercantile Bank is hiring a Head of Financial Planning, Analysis and Business Finance to work with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, analytics and management reporting.

Deadline: 12 November 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting, forecasting, variance, profitability analysis and financial modelling
  • Projections for deposits, loans-advances, investments, interest and non-interest income
  • Capital planning and regulatory financial analysis
  • Prepare the annual operating plan and medium-term projections with the CFO
  • Dashboards and reports for senior management and the Board, with Power BI and AI-enabled tools

Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or MBM
  • CA / ACCA / CMA / CFA or partly qualified preferred; ITP certificate an added advantage
  • Minimum 10 years in banks or financial institutions, at least 5 years in Finance & Accounting
  • Advanced Excel or Power BI; Temenos experience preferred
