Job Overview

The Officer, Regulatory Reporting within the WRB Operations team will be responsible for regulatory compliance and operational excellence, with a primary focus on preparing and submitting regulatory reports related to Loans, Credit Cards, and Liability accounts.

The role involves responding to daily regulatory queries, engaging with regulators through scheduled visits, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and managing regulatory deadlines and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive regulatory reports related to Loans, Credit Cards, and Liability accounts on time.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across branches, CFCR, Tax, Finance, and other relevant units to manage and resolve regulatory orders efficiently.
  • Lead and support system-related changes by coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and User Verification Testing (UVT) with implementation teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, guidelines, and the local regulatory framework.
  • Manage the unclaimed account maintenance process, including claim settlements, communication with the central bank, periodic reporting, and reconciliation activities.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Uphold and champion the Group's standards of ethics, Values, and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal accountability for embedding an ethics-driven culture and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters through collaboration with relevant teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage effectively with WRB Business units and operational teams to ensure regulatory reporting and compliance objectives are met.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with regulators by facilitating visits and promptly addressing inquiries.

Process & Systems Management

  • Lead and coordinate system update initiatives and testing cycles, including UAT and UVT, with implementation teams and external vendors to ensure system changes meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage unclaimed account maintenance processes, including claim settlements, communication with the central bank, reporting, and reconciliation activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of country-specific regulations concerning Credit Card products.
  • Ability to interpret and apply the Banking Companies Act.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications, for data handling, reporting, and documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple regulatory reporting deadlines and coordinate inputs from diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in banking or financial services involving regulatory compliance and reporting will be an advantage.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from a recognised and reputable university, preferably in CSE or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory reporting or compliance functions.
  • Experience with Python, Power BI, C+, etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while taking initiative and making informed decisions independently when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight regulatory deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office, including Excel for analytical and reporting purposes.
