General Protection Officer - Case Management

The Danish Refugee Council is hiring a General Protection Officer for case management in Cox’s Bazar to manage individual protection cases in its Rohingya response programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage individual protection cases with technical guidance from the Protection Manager and Coordinator
  • Conduct assessments of individual protection risks and needs
  • Represent DRC at field-level protection coordination and inter-agency forums
  • Keep case management compliant with donor requirements and DRC policies on reporting, accountability and data protection

Requirements

  • University degree in Social Work, Anthropology, Psychology, Development Studies, Law or a related field; Master’s preferred
  • 2-3 years of humanitarian experience, at least 2 years in protection in the Rohingya refugee response
  • Prior experience with an international or local NGO or a UN agency
  • Chittagonian and Rohingya dialects essential; fluent English and Bengali
  • Kobo Toolbox, ActivityInfo or similar data tools and MS Office
