Safety and Security Specialist

International Justice Mission is hiring a Safety and Security Specialist in Dhaka to run day-to-day security risk management, incident response and preparedness for its Bangladesh office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Give security input for casework, investigations, events, travel and partner activities
  • Monitor the operating environment and report threats and their implications
  • Maintain the office Security and Safety Risk Management Plan, risk register and contingency plans
  • Act as the first local coordination point for security incidents and escalate as required
  • Implement the Field Security Operations Manual and run drills, briefings and training

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in security management, risk management, criminal justice, international relations, operations or related (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 to 4 years in field security, operational risk, crisis support, NGO operations, law enforcement, military or humanitarian work
  • Experience with risk assessments, incident reporting, emergency preparedness or security training
  • Security or risk-management training or certification preferred
  • Willing to travel within Bangladesh
