Safe Shelter Manager

World Vision Bangladesh is hiring two Safe Shelter Managers in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, to run a 24/7 safe shelter for women and girls affected by gender-based violence. The position is open to female candidates only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the safe shelter in a secure, survivor-centred way
  • Conduct intake, orientation and risk assessments and develop individual support plans
  • Monitor the safety and security of survivors and apply risk mitigation plans
  • Ensure basic needs, medical support and referral to case management and other services
  • Supervise shelter staff and support the operation beyond office hours, including nights and weekends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Science, Social Work or Psychology; post graduate degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in the GBV field
  • Female candidates only, at least 27 years old
  • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Good English and Bengali; Chittagonian or Rohingya language skills considered
