Development Merchandiser / Production Merchandiser

About the Role
Next Sourcing Limited is looking for Development Merchandiser / Production Merchandiser to manage product development activities, coordinate with buyers and suppliers, and ensure timely sample development and merchandising operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Sample Management
- Carry out merchandising activities to ensure design packs and sample requisitions are completed on time.
- Request color palettes, standards, and design presentation booklets to ensure resource availability before commencement.
- Liaise with buyers and designers to confirm receipt of design packs and agree on target sample delivery dates.
- Ensure design sheets are received on time.
- Schedule meetings with the Technical Team and Product Manager to discuss design packs for supplier distribution.
- Review lead times of proposed fabrics and trims and update NEXT regarding long lead-time items.
- Ensure design packs are reviewed within 24 hours of receipt.
- Check sample feasibility in terms of price and product, and discuss alternative options with the UK team when required.
- Ensure accurate SR forms are prepared and updated by the team.
- Ensure sample turnaround time is completed within two weeks.
- Ensure progress schedules are updated by the team and handed over to the relevant managers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Merchandising.
