Marine Standards Manager

Svitzer is hiring a Marine Standards Manager in Chattogram to run HSSEQ for its Bangladesh fleet, crew and shore base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily HSSEQ activities for the Bangladesh fleet, crew and shore base
  • Develop and maintain the safety management system (OVMSA, ISM, MLC, ISPS)
  • Run internal audits and liaise with Flag registry and Class for external audits
  • Lead local incident investigations and safety initiatives
  • Cover for the Operations Manager when delegated

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent in marine / nautical sciences
  • Minimum 5 years of HSSEQ experience in marine service operations
  • Recognised ISM and ISPS auditor and incident investigator qualifications
  • NEBOSH, DPA and CSO certification preferred; fluent English
