Job Overview
British American Tobacco Bangladesh is looking for a Project Officer to support the execution of factory infrastructure, utilities, automation, and capital investment projects. The role focuses on project coordination, documentation, stakeholder management, and ensuring successful project delivery within approved scope, budget, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support execution of factory infrastructure, utilities, automation, and capital investment projects.
- Maintain project schedules, trackers, risk registers, action logs, and governance documentation.
- Support project managers and engineers in planning, design reviews, procurement coordination, installation supervision, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Procurement, EHS, IT, and external contractors.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and support corrective actions to maintain milestones.
- Prepare project presentations, management updates, investment justifications, and performance dashboards.
- Manage project documentation including drawings, specifications, contracts, commissioning records, and close-out reports.
- Support contractor safety compliance, permit-to-work requirements, risk assessments, and EHS audits.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
Experience Requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to develop project schedules, reports, presentations, and executive communications.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of CAPEX management, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence principles will be an advantage.
