Head of Concurrent Audit

City Bank is hiring a Head of Concurrent Audit for its Internal Control & Compliance Division, to lead concurrent audit across Head Office divisions and large branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate whether controls are implemented in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures
  • Establish sound internal accounting functions and effective controls to preclude serious errors and fraudulent manipulations
  • Lead and manage the team to ensure proper controls over financial as well as compliance functions
  • Lead and coordinate planning and strategy to support the development of concurrent audit
  • Support the Head of ICC by providing reliable audit opinion and ensuring implementation of key audit recommendations
  • Facilitate knowledge management and the use of standard Audit Work Programs, checklists and tools
  • Identify weaknesses of control and give management a clear articulation of residual risks

Requirements

  • 4 years Bachelor’s/Master’s in any subject from any reputed university; professional qualification like Chartered Accountant
  • At least 10 years of experience, in banks
  • Thorough knowledge of Bangladesh Bank regulation, compliance and banking products/services
  • Solid understanding of audit concepts and techniques
  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency in writing quality reports
  • Strong leadership, able to drive a team with complex roles
