Deputy Manager, Order Management Solutions

DHL Global Forwarding is hiring a Deputy Manager, Order Management Solutions in Dhaka, to help design and implement supply chain planning processes and manage customers’ purchase order operations from order placement to final delivery.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve the new customer onboarding package and process, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) review process
  • Develop strong customer relationships and oversee communications with existing and new customers, resolving consignee and vendor complaints and enquiries
  • Continuously look into the core processes in customers’ PO management operations
  • Support implementation of lean initiatives from the planning perspective
  • Ensure implementation, monitoring and quality of key metrics such as on-time delivery and inventory efficiency
  • Contribute to the business capacity planning process to forecast capacity utilization and optimize the supply network
  • Manage shipping lines/NVOCC and ensure the Container Freight Station (CFS) process complies with SOPs
  • Manage the allocation of resources and staff towards global, regional and country objectives
  • Handle all claims relating to any shipment

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably in Freight Forwarding
  • In-depth knowledge of Ocean freight and Order Management Solutions processes and industry best practices
  • Strong negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and a problem-solving attitude
  • Functional and analytical experience in Operations, Freight Management and Stakeholder Management
  • High integrity with a good work ethic
