Specialist - Disaster Resilience and Recovery

Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh is hiring a Specialist - Disaster Resilience and Recovery in Dhaka at BDT 85,000 to 110,000 a month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the disaster resilience and recovery strategy and roadmap
  • Disaster risk and housing vulnerability assessments; resilient housing designs
  • Emergency preparedness and housing recovery systems
  • Partnerships with government, NGOs and donors
  • At least two pilot disaster-resilient housing programmes; resource mobilisation

Requirements

  • Master’s in disaster management, DRR, climate change, civil engineering, architecture or a related subject
  • Minimum 5 years in DRR, emergency response, resilient housing or recovery
  • Open to Bangladeshi nationals only
