Job Overview
British American Tobacco Bangladesh is looking for a Quality Improvement Officer to support New Product Introduction (NPI), product improvement, quality assessment, and manufacturing performance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Update BOMs to support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and Productivity Savings Initiatives.
- Ensure all material, formulation, and specification changes are accurately reflected within relevant systems.
- Execute and coordinate MQS 2 and MQS 3 quality assessments for production trial runs.
- Monitor trial outcomes and document findings to support decision-making and project approvals.
- Develop and maintain TA presentations and project decks for stakeholder reviews.
- Present quality-related findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Track and analyze physical and chemical parameters for NPI and product improvement projects.
- Identify deviations, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support and coordinate PSC approval activities by ensuring all required quality documentation and data are complete and accurate.
- Update BOM specifications and related documentation following material changes.
- Ensure compliance with BAT quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Participate in initiatives that improve product quality, operational efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSc Engineering) or a related technical discipline.
Experience Requirements
- Experience supporting product development, process improvements, or change management activities is advantageous.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with product specifications, BOM management, and quality documentation.
- Ability to analyze technical data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SAP is desirable but not mandatory.
