Corporate Security Manager (Leaf)

Job Overview

The Corporate Security Manager (Leaf) will act as the security leader representing Corporate Security for JTI Leaf operations in Bangladesh and assigned areas of responsibility.

The role will support the delivery of the Corporate Security Strategy and provide security support to JTI Leaf business entities, operations and projects.

The position focuses on developing, reviewing and maintaining a risk-based and cost-effective security program while providing tactical support through risk assessments, crisis management, personnel security, security audits, investigations and stakeholder management.

Risk and Crisis Management

• Assist in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes, practices and policies to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability.
• Develop and maintain a Security Risk Register to support business security objectives.
• Act as an alternate member of the Crisis Management Team and provide operational security support during crises when required.
• Provide investigative support and crisis/incident management training to site and market teams.
• Identify security trends and best practices in the Bangladesh business environment and recommend policies and strategies to reduce vulnerabilities.

People and Asset Security

• Manage the implementation of security programs through site security representatives and selected vendors to ensure protection of executives, employees, stakeholders and visitors.
• Provide security support for personnel operating in high-risk environments, including personal protection, pre-travel and in-country security briefings, residential security surveys, special event security and transportation advice.
• Assist in developing security audit plans, managing security audits and following up on assessment recommendations.
• Support supply chain security programs within the assigned area to protect operations, products and brand integrity.
• Conduct objective investigations of security-related allegations and incidents in coordination with relevant functions.

Networking and Stakeholder Management

• Maintain and develop effective working relationships with Leaf management teams and factory leads.
• Build networks across functions and levels to promote and drive global security initiatives.
• Provide updates to Leaf factory leads regarding security issues and emerging threats.
• Develop relationships with law enforcement agencies, security agencies, business partners and international security counterparts.
• Engage with relevant public and private security associations.

Financial Management

• Manage the assigned security program budget, including annual budget planning, updates, forecasts and reporting of actuals and variances.
• Oversee local security service vendor contracts related to guarding operations, technology applications and specialized consulting and investigative support.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent professional experience with demonstrated achievements.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in military, law enforcement, intelligence, corporate security or related environments.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of additional regional languages will be considered an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
