Job Overview

British American Tobacco Bangladesh has an exciting opportunity for an Area IT Manager Operations to lead digital transformation and technology initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of the digital transformation agenda across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality operations.
• Partner with factory and business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement technology-driven improvements.
• Oversee IT solutions and business applications supporting manufacturing operations and operational excellence.
• Drive delivery of digital transformation initiatives, ERP projects, and operational technology enhancements.
• Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technology solutions.
• Build strong relationships with local, regional, and global stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Promote innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel regularly to Savar Factory to engage with operational teams, understand business challenges, and provide technology support.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7–12 years of experience in Information Technology, Digital Transformation, ERP, or Manufacturing Systems.
• Experience with ERP and business applications such as SAP, Oracle, MES, or similar platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, project management, and business partnering capabilities.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or industrial operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Strong command of English and Bengali.
• Experience working in multinational or global organizations will be an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications are highly desirable.
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, Automation, or Industry 4.0 initiatives will be an added advantage.
