Collection & Recovery Officer (Officer to Executive Officer)

Bengal Commercial Bank PLC is hiring Collection & Recovery Officers (Officer to Executive Officer) to follow up defaulter clients and guarantors and recover overdue amounts, NPLs and written-off loans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up with defaulter clients and guarantors through calls, visits and negotiation to collect overdue amounts, NPLs and receivables
  • Analyze the portfolio and segregate client status for bad debt classification, with emphasis on written-off collection
  • Trace untraceable clients and conduct field verification
  • Serve overdue notices as per internal policy and Bangladesh Bank guidelines
  • Identify assets of defaulted clients and assist in repossession and sale of leased or mortgaged assets
  • Support the Legal Department in litigation, including case files and execution of warrants and court orders
  • Prepare and maintain recovery MIS and departmental reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with no 3rd division or class in any academic record
  • Candidates with LL.B. / LL.M. will be given preference
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in recovery or collection within a bank or financial institution
  • Familiarity with recovery-related regulations (Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Negotiable Instruments Act) is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; able to work independently in the field
  • Candidates serving in a bank or FI and applying for a higher position must meet the JAIBB/AIBB requirements of BRPD-1 Circular Letter No. 13 (29.04.2026)
