Senior Relationship Manager, Prestige

Job Overview

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC is expanding its Priority Banking proposition, Prestige, and seeking experienced Relationship Bankers to manage affluent and High Net Worth clients. The role focuses on portfolio management, client acquisition, relationship growth, financial planning, cross-selling, and maintaining strong regulatory and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Portfolio Management

• Manage the assigned portfolio of Prestige clients and proactively onboard New-to-Bank affluent and High Net Worth clients.
• Develop strong client relationships to retain customers, enhance wallet share, and drive sustainable portfolio growth.
• Deliver high-quality services and value-added advisory to clients and their stakeholders.
• Maintain client databases and ensure timely updates of facts, figures, contacts, information, and other relevant details.

Business Development & Sales

• Achieve KPIs related to credit cards, New-to-Bank relationships, portfolio book value growth, and other assigned targets.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities by connecting clients' needs with relevant banking products and services.
• Monitor external market developments in banking and finance to identify business opportunities.
• Apply strong financial planning expertise to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

Risk, Compliance & KYC

• Maintain an environment free from operational lapses, audit failures, and regulatory breaches.
• Ensure compliance with KYC requirements during client onboarding and relationship management.
• Conduct timely Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of bank and client information.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized public or private university.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relationship management experience with a proven track record.
• Experience managing High Net Worth and Priority Banking clients.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of retail banking products and Priority Banking client needs.
• Sound understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, KYC, risk, audit, and compliance.
• Strong financial planning and client advisory capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong business development and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and consistently deliver against business objectives.
• Customer-first mindset with strong portfolio ownership and service orientation.
