Head of Internal Control & Compliance (ICC)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the Bank’s internal control framework, with adequate checks and balances and segregation of duties
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank guidelines and circulars, the Bank Company Act, BFIU requirements and the Bank’s internal policies
• Lead and supervise the ICC function, including Audit & Inspection, Compliance and Monitoring
• Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit and inspection plan covering branches, sub-branches and Head Office divisions
• Strengthen mechanisms for identifying and reporting fraud, forgery, misappropriation and financial irregularities
• Ensure follow-up of audit, inspection, regulatory and compliance observations and timely corrective action
• Coordinate responses and compliance relating to Bangladesh Bank inspections

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 20 years of professional banking experience, with substantial exposure to Internal Control & Compliance, Audit & Inspection, Compliance Monitoring, Risk Management, Credit, Operations or related control functions
• At least 3-5 years of senior-level experience in Internal Control & Compliance/Audit & Inspection, preferably in a scheduled commercial bank
• Preference for candidates serving as Head of ICC, Deputy Head of ICC, Head of Audit & Inspection, Head of Compliance or in an equivalent senior control function
• Sound knowledge of Bangladesh Bank’s Guidelines on Internal Control & Compliance, risk-based internal audit and applicable banking laws

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Banking Management (MBM), Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics or any other relevant discipline from a reputed university
• CA, CMA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CFE or other recognized professional qualifications will be considered a strong advantage
• No 3rd Division/Class or equivalent result in any academic examination will be permissible
• Age limit: maximum 55 years as on 24/10/2026
