Educational Requirements
- LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. degree from a reputed university.
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in legal recovery, litigation, or loan recovery within a bank or financial institution.
- Experience in handling classified loans (NPLs).
Additional Requirements
- Enrolment with the Bangladesh Bar Council will be an added advantage.
- Training in Banking Laws, financial crime, or asset recovery is desirable.
- Hands-on experience in execution of court decrees and warrants.
- Experience with attachment and auction of mortgaged properties.
- Experience in taking over possession of bank-owned properties and recalling warrants through court.
- Strong understanding of legal documentation and court procedures.
- Competence in litigation management, court liaison, and coordination.
- Strong networking skills with external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines related to loan recovery and classified loans.
- Ability to work beyond normal office hours when required.
- Ability to travel extensively, conduct site inspections, coordinate with local authorities, and manage difficult recovery situations.
- Effective communication skills with courts, law enforcement agencies, lawyers, government offices, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Warrant Execution & Customer Follow-up
- Forward Orders of Warrant of Arrest from concerned courts to the respective police stations in a timely manner.
- Collect customers' present addresses from SAMD.
- Pursue concerned police stations for execution of warrants through customer arrest.
- Follow up with customers at their present or available addresses with support from the concerned RM from SAMD and share relevant information with the Police.
- Take immediate action to recall warrants upon settlement of loan accounts.
Asset Recovery & Property Possession
- Take necessary actions to take possession of scheduled properties, including liaison with Bailiffs, Police Stations, and Magistrates.
- Engage and supervise labour, arrange transportation, and manage materials required for property possession.
- Arrange printing, preparation, and display of signboards on scheduled properties.
- Procure red cloth, locks, and other materials required for execution and completion of the possession process.
- Execute pending warrants and take possession of properties vested with title and possession under Sections 33(7) and 33(5) of the Artha Rin Adalat Ain, 2003, on behalf of the Bank through the Court of Law.
Reporting & Coordination
- Report the updated status of warrant execution and asset recovery activities to the competent authority.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Legal Division and Management.
