Nesternship Bangladesh: What Nestlé's Internship Actually Is, and How to Be Ready Next Time

Google "Nesternship" and the first page gives you three different stories. One site says it's a one month programme that pays you in Amazon vouchers. Another says it's a summer internship in Egypt and the UAE. A third says six months, ten functions, CGPA 3.00.

All three are true. They're just about three different programmes in three different countries.

Nestlé uses the Nesternship name in several markets, and each version is built differently. For students in Bangladesh the mix up does real damage. Some read another country's requirements and decide they don't qualify. Others apply expecting benefits that appear nowhere in the Bangladesh circular.

This guide covers only Nestlé Bangladesh PLC's Nesternship. Where the company hasn't published something, we say so.

What Nesternship is

Nesternship is Nestlé Bangladesh PLC's own internship programme, run as part of Nestlé's global youth initiative, "Nestlé Needs YOUth". The 2026 circular describes it as a programme for graduating students who want to build their skills before starting work.

The most important detail is buried in the first line of the eligibility. In 2026, you could apply only if you had finished all your academic courses, or would finish them, between October 2026 and January 2027. The application form asked which month you would complete every course except the internship.

In other words, Nesternship is timed to your university's internship semester. It isn't an option after you graduate, and it isn't for second year students either. The first thing to check is whether your course completion date falls inside the circular's window.

What the 2026 circular said

The form asked for a first and second function preference, your CGPA band, field of study, institution, any distinction awards, your extracurricular activities, and whether you had applied to Nestlé before.

Three things people get wrong

1. There's no "Golden Ticket" in the Bangladesh circular. Plenty of websites say that Nesterns recommended by their mentor get a "Golden Ticket", a placement interview for a full time role. That description comes from coverage of Nestlé's programmes in other countries. Neither the 2026 Bangladesh circular nor TBS Graduates' 2025 report mentions it. For Bangladesh, nothing has been published promising a job or an interview after the internship.

2. India's one month and Amazon vouchers don't apply here. On Nestlé India's own page, Nesternship lasts one month, pays in a certificate plus ₹5,000 of Amazon vouchers instead of a stipend, and selects people through a gamified online assessment called Talent Games. Nestlé MENA's Nesternship is a paid summer internship in Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh's runs for six months, and Nestlé hasn't published how it assesses candidates. Don't judge one by another's rules.

3. Nestlé's website and the circular tell different stories. Nestlé Bangladesh's youth opportunities page still calls Nesternship a "virtual internship programme". Its students and graduates page calls it "the first regional (mainly virtual) internship program". That wording dates from the programme's early years. A 2021 Bangladesh intake notice that's still online asked applicants to have a laptop and internet for virtual meetings, and wanted a CGPA of 3.20. The 2025 and 2026 circulars say six months, ten functions, CGPA 3.00, and don't mention virtual work at all. The 2026 circular doesn't say whether the work is in the office, remote or a mix. What's clear is that the programme has changed over time, so don't rely on old descriptions.

Is it paid?

Neither the 2025 nor the 2026 circular gives a stipend figure. They don't even say whether it's paid or unpaid. The numbers you'll see online either belong to another country's programme or come from sources that can't be checked, so we're not printing one.

If you get an offer, asking HR about this directly is completely normal. You're giving them six months, so it's fair to know.

The selection process: what's known and what isn't

Nestlé Bangladesh hasn't published the stages of Nesternship selection. The circular only says shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage, and that the company can select or reject anyone.

Some candidate reported experiences on public platforms describe Nestlé internship hiring in Dhaka as an online interview, a quiz, a group presentation, a viva, and a final viva at head office. We couldn't confirm which year that was, or whether it was Nesternship or some other intern hiring. Use it as a rough idea, not a rulebook.

What we can say for sure: most large internships in Bangladesh use some mix of CV screening, an aptitude or written assessment, an FGD and an interview. When will the next window open?

Nobody can tell you for certain, and anyone who does is guessing. Here are the three windows we could verify.

February, July, September. There's no fixed month. And the 2026 window was open for just eight days.

That means two things. First, "I'll fix my CV when the circular comes out" doesn't work here. Eight days isn't enough to build a good one. Second, you need to watch Nestlé's official channels: the jobs section on nestle.com.bd and the official Nestlé Careers Bangladesh Facebook page. If you see it shared by a third party, check it against the official source.

What to get ready now

If you'll finish your courses in 2027, this checklist is useful right now.

• Know your course completion month. Confirm with your department which month you'll

finish every course except the internship. The form asks exactly this.

• Keep your CGPA above 3.00. That was the minimum in the last two circulars. Below it, you

can't apply to this programme, so take your final semesters seriously.

• Pick your two functions early. The form wants a first and second choice. Work out which

two of the ten fit your degree, courses and experience. Functions like Scientific and Regulatory Affairs or Manufacturing are open doors for science and engineering students, and a lot of people overlook them.

• Describe your extracurriculars through what you did. The circular asks for a "strong

presence". "Member, Business Club" isn't enough. Say what you organised, how many people took part and what you were responsible for.

• Practise writing and speaking in English. Communication skills are a listed requirement,

and presentations and group discussions are normal in FMCG.

• Have your CV ready now. With an eight day window, it has to be done before the circular

appears.

A word of caution

According to the 2026 circular, applications were taken only through Nestlé's own form, with no fee. If someone offers to "get you into Nesternship" after the window closes, or asks for money, that isn't Nestlé's process. Check with the official channels before giving anyone your details.

Beyond Nesternship

Nestlé Bangladesh's website also lists a separate Management Trainee Program for fresh graduates. If Nesternship doesn't work out, that route stays open.
