Senior Database Administrator (Oracle)

The Role

• Architect, configure and lead the lifecycle strategy for global enterprise Oracle, SQL Server and Cloud (Azure/Snowflake) environments
• Serve as the tier-3 escalation authority for complex database performance bottlenecks
• Consult with BI and development teams on database design, complex SQL scripts and stored procedures
• Govern database security policies and take accountability for SOX security compliance documentation and audit readiness
• Own, test and optimize the enterprise Disaster Recovery plan
• Take part in a rotational on-call schedule, including scheduled evenings and weekends

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in production database administration, including 3+ years in a senior or lead capacity
• Hands-on mastery of both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server administration, high-availability architecture and performance tuning
• Experience migrating workloads to or managing enterprise cloud database platforms; Azure and/or Snowflake highly advantageous
• Prior experience in a regulated environment such as SOX compliance
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
