Manager / Senior Manager, Financial Accounting and Management Reporting

About the Role

Robi Axiata PLC. is seeking an experienced and innovative professional to prepare, consolidate, and analyze the Robi Group’s financial reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations, international standards (IFRS/IAS), and Axiata Group reporting requirements.

The role will be responsible for period-end close, statutory and management financial statements, group reporting submissions, intercompany reconciliations, and strengthening internal controls across the end-to-end reporting cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close Management

• Prepare statutory and management financial statements in accordance with IFRS/IAS and local regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal review, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.

Financial Analysis & Business Performance

• Conduct financial reviews and variance analysis, providing clear explanations linked to key business and cost drivers.
• Support management with relevant financial insights and analysis for business decision-making.

Regulatory Compliance & Statutory Reporting

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and support disclosures and statutory filings with BSEC, DSE, CSE, and other relevant authorities.
• Ensure alignment between local statutory reporting requirements and applicable accounting standards.

Group Reporting & Consolidation

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting packages to Axiata Group within defined timelines through the group consolidation system.
• Apply Axiata Group accounting policies and reconcile differences between local statutory figures and the group reporting basis.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations with Axiata Group entities, resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate group consolidation.

Audit & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with external auditors, manage audit queries and comments, and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
• Support group audits and respond to Group Finance queries within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth reporting and audit processes.

Process Improvement & Internal Controls

• Drive continuous improvement across the financial reporting cycle to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls and reporting processes, ensuring effective governance across the end-to-end finance function.
• Support timely flash, actual, and forecast submissions in line with Axiata Group requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of IAS/IFRS and local regulatory requirements, including BSEC, DSE, and CSE.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle and group consolidation systems.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a reporting team and manage the reporting calendar end to end.
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools for reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting narratives, with human review and controls.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and a controls-first mindset.
• Proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to work to tight group close deadlines.

Educational Qualification

• BBA in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a reputed university.
• Qualified or Part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA/CMA).
