Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide corporate advisory support and clear, commercially practical legal opinions on legal, regulatory and governance matters
• Draft, review, vet and negotiate contracts, policies, notices and other legal documents
• Advise on employment and labour matters, workplace policies, investigations and disciplinary processes
• Advise on telecommunications, competition, consumer protection, privacy, data protection and compliance laws
• Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical mitigation measures
• Support corporate governance, commercial transactions and engagement with regulators and public authorities
• Manage legal disputes and litigation, including coordination with external counsels

Education & Experience

• LL.B (Hons) from a reputed university
• LL.M from a reputed local or foreign university, or a vocational degree such as the Bar Professional Training Course, preferred
• Enrolment in the Bar Council of Bangladesh
• Minimum 8 to 12 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate, telecommunications or MNC environment
• Experience in corporate advisory, legal opinion, contract review and negotiation, dispute management and regulatory compliance
• Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
