Chief Risk Officer (CRO)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the enterprise-wide risk management framework covering credit, market, liquidity, operational and emerging risks
• Develop, review and implement the Risk Appetite Framework, risk limits, policies and governance structure
• Provide independent assessment and oversight of the Bank’s material risk-taking activities
• Oversee the credit risk framework, portfolio quality, concentration risk and large exposures
• Prepare and present risk reports and stress-testing results to the Managing Director & CEO, the Board Risk Management Committee and the Board
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank directives and maintain liaison with regulators, auditors and rating agencies
• Lead the Bank’s independent Risk Management Department and the Executive Risk Management Committee

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 20 years of professional banking experience with substantial mainstream banking exposure
• At least 3 years of hands-on working experience in Risk Management, in line with Bangladesh Bank requirements
• Preference for candidates serving as CRO, Head of Risk Management, Head of Credit Risk Management or equivalent in a scheduled commercial bank
• Comprehensive knowledge of Bangladesh Bank’s Risk Management Guidelines, the Basel framework, ICAAP and stress testing

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Banking Management (MBM), Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or any other relevant discipline from a reputed university
• FRM, CFA, CA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA or other recognized qualifications will be considered an added advantage
• No 3rd Division/Class or equivalent result in any academic examination will be permissible
• Age limit: maximum 55 years as on 24/10/2026
