Security Officer – Eastern Region

About the Role

British American Tobacco Bangladesh is seeking a Security Officer – Eastern Region to support security operations, risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the region.

The role will focus on managing security service providers, monitoring security systems and procedures, assessing potential risks, supporting investigations, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the performance of security service providers, systems, and procedures in line with Security SOPs.
• Identify, assess, and report potential security breaches, criminal threats, and SoBC violations while advising on appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure effective access control and compliance with security standards through proper system management and contractor oversight.
• Support investigations of security incidents and recommend preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of all physical and technical security systems, including enforcing maintenance standards.
• Provide regular reports and insights to the Regional Security Manager on security performance, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Support risk assessments, training initiatives, and internal compliance exercises, including clear desk reviews, within the region.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of security management experience across Police, Military, or private security sectors, with exposure to law enforcement and regulatory bodies.
• Proven ability to manage security service providers, contracts, and budgets with strong operational oversight.
• Strong understanding of security risk assessment, threat analysis, and implementation of mitigation measures.
• Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and external partners.
• Capability to drive security compliance, develop procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including report writing and presentation of security risks.
