Application Developer (Distribution)

Gildan is hiring an Application Developer (Distribution) in Dhaka to support and develop distribution reporting, promote program changes across environments and work with IT and business teams at head office and global distribution centers.

The Role

  • Follow up incidents assigned to the Distribution team for reporting requests
  • Deploy new development from test to production WMS systems using the Change Management tool
  • Maintain security in reporting software
  • Define and document technical specifications with the business, then develop new reports or change existing ones
  • Follow Gildan’s software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology and standards
  • Take on development of labels and distribution documents as skills and business knowledge grow

The Requirement

  • University degree in computer science, college diploma, technical certification or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years as a Programmer or in Technical Support with a development background
  • Knowledge of a WMS is important (Manhattan Associates WMi is an asset)
  • Knowledge of IBM AS400 and RPG, Cognos reporting tools and Change Management software are assets
  • Experience with MS productivity tools is a must; Smartsheet and SharePoint are assets
  • Good written and spoken English
