Aarong Internship Program (AIP): What Aarong Has Published, What It Hasn't, and How to Be Ready for the Next Window

Aarong বছরে তিনবার তার internship programme AIP পরিচালনা করে, আর প্রতিটি application window প্রায় এক সপ্তাহ খোলা থাকে। Spring 2026 এর আবেদন 15 January থেকে শুরু হয়ে 22 January এ বন্ধ হয়েছে। Fall 2026 এর deadline ছিল 12 September, তাই এই মুহূর্তে কোনো window খোলা নেই। এই গাইডে AIP নিয়ে Aarong কী কী তথ্য প্রকাশ করেছে, কোন বিষয়গুলো প্রকাশ করেনি, একজন former intern selection process কীভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করেছেন এবং পরবর্তী call এর আগে কী কী প্রস্তুত রাখা দরকার, সেগুলো তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। আগের সময়সূচি অনুযায়ী পরবর্তী call সবচেয়ে সম্ভাব্যভাবে January তে Spring 2027 হতে পারে।

What AIP is

The Aarong Internship Program (AIP) is the internship programme of Aarong, which its own application form describes as "BRAC's largest social enterprise" and "one of the most popular lifestyle retail chains of Bangladesh". The form says the programme lets graduating students "immerse themselves in a culture that values diversity, nurtures professional growth, and promotes hands on learning".

Interns are placed across functions rather than in one department. Aarong introduced its Spring 2026 cohort on 19 February 2026 saying they would "collaborate across functions" and contribute to ongoing initiatives. In April 2026 it posted the Spring 2026 interns at an Excel training session run by the Learning and Development team, and in January 2026 it reshared an AIP intern's account of a visit to the Ayesha Abed Foundation to see the artisans' side of Aarong's operations. Aarong has not published which departments take interns in any given intake.

What Aarong has published, and what it hasn't

When it opens

Aarong AIP এর জন্য কোনো নির্দিষ্ট calendar প্রকাশ করে না, তবে তাদের own posts এবং forms দেখে একটি ধারাবাহিক pattern বোঝা যায়। Spring চলে mid February থেকে mid May পর্যন্ত, আর Fall চলে October থেকে early January পর্যন্ত। সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হলো deadline এবং start date এর মধ্যে সময়ের ব্যবধান। Spring 2026 এর application 22 January এ বন্ধ হয়ে 15 February এ শুরু হয়েছিল, Fall 2025 এর application 24 September এ বন্ধ হয়ে 16 October এ শুরু হয়েছিল, আর Fall 2026 এর application 12 September এ বন্ধ হয়ে 4 October এ শুরু হয়েছে। অর্থাৎ CV screening থেকে final interview পর্যন্ত পুরো selection process প্রায় তিন সপ্তাহের মধ্যেই শেষ হয়। এই pattern অনুযায়ী পরবর্তী call সবচেয়ে সম্ভাব্যভাবে Spring 2027, যা around mid January 2027 এ open হতে পারে। এটি আগের dates এর ভিত্তিতে করা আমাদের estimate, Aarong এর ঘোষিত কোনো date নয়।

Who can apply

Aarong এর own application forms এ screening criteria বিস্তারিতভাবে দেওয়া আছে। একজন candidate কে কোনো reputable public or private university এর final year বা last semester এর Bachelor's student হতে হবে, এবং preferably internship ছাড়া সব academic course completed থাকতে হবে। Form এ excellent written and verbal communication, strong people management skills, time management, MS Office Suite এর ভালো knowledge, multitask করার ability এবং flexible mindset এর কথাও বলা হয়েছে। Form এ যা চাওয়া হয়নি, সেটিও জানা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এখানে কোনো minimum CGPA, নির্দিষ্ট subject বা discipline কিংবা age limit উল্লেখ করা হয়নি। এই দিক থেকে AIP, bKash bnext এবং Nestlé এর Nesternship থেকে আলাদা, কারণ দুটিতেই 3.00 CGPA চাওয়া হয়েছিল।

দুটি বিষয় বিশেষভাবে খেয়াল করার মতো। প্রথমত, এখানে "preferably" শব্দটি ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। অর্থাৎ internship ছাড়া সব course complete থাকা একটি preference, কঠোর cutoff নয়। তাই একটি course বাকি থাকা student স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে বাদ পড়ে না, তবে এমন candidates দের সঙ্গে competition হবে যাদের কোনো course বাকি নেই। দ্বিতীয়ত, আমরা যে প্রতিটি circular পেয়েছি, সেখানে location হিসেবে Dhaka, Bangladesh দেওয়া ছিল। Dhaka এর বাইরে পড়াশোনা করলে apply করার আগে শহরটিতে তিন মাস থাকার জন্য প্রস্তুতি রাখতে হবে। Aarong internship এর কোনো অংশ remotely করা যাবে কি না, সে বিষয়ে কিছু জানায়নি।

How selection works

Aarong has not published its selection stages. The clearest account is from Maruful Islam, a former AIP intern interviewed by TBS Graduates on 17 May 2026. He described three stages.

Online assessment এর জায়গাতেই AIP বেশিরভাগ corporate internship থেকে আলাদা। Maruful Islam এর মতে, maths, English এবং analytical questions এর পাশাপাশি এতে একটি behavioural section থাকে, যেখানে candidate BRAC এর culture এবং values এর সঙ্গে fit করেন কি না, সেটি দেখা হয়। তিনি এই section কে বিশেষভাবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বলেছেন এবং "right" answer অনুমান করার বদলে honestly এবং consistently উত্তর দেওয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়েছেন। বিষয়টি Aarong এর কাজের ধরন সঙ্গেও যায়, কারণ এটি BRAC এর একটি social enterprise এবং artisans দের সঙ্গে কাজ করে, সাধারণ retail chain নয়। Aarong এর careers page এ 87,000 এর বেশি artisans এবং তাদের families এর জন্য কাজ করার কথা বলা হয়েছে।

Preparing for each stage

CV: Maruful Islam এর পরামর্শ হলো CV clean এবং focused রাখা। Experience, leadership, extracurricular work এবং achievements সংক্ষেপে দেখাতে হবে এবং যেসব তথ্য কোনো value যোগ করে না, সেগুলো বাদ দিতে হবে। তার মতে, practical experience, projects, competitions বা club involvement দেখাতে পারা candidates দের shortlisted হওয়ার chance তুলনামূলকভাবে ভালো থাকে, এবং CV internship অনুযায়ী tailored হওয়া উচিত। Aarong এর form এ people management এবং multitasking সরাসরি চাওয়া হয়েছে, তাই বাস্তব result সহ এর যেকোনো একটি দক্ষতা দেখানো একটি CV line, শুধু duties এর তালিকার চেয়ে বেশি কার্যকর।

Online assessment: নিয়মিত maths, English এবং analytical questions practice করতে হবে এবং reading speed বাড়াতে হবে। Test এর আগে BRAC এবং Aarong তাদের own values সম্পর্কে কী বলে, সেটি পড়া ভালো, কারণ behavioural questions সেগুলোর ভিত্তিতেই evaluate করা হয়। Aarong কোনো syllabus, question count বা time limit প্রকাশ করেনি। তাই এটিকে একজন former intern এর account হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে প্রস্তুতি নিতে হবে এবং intake ভেদে এটি পরিবর্তিত হতে পারে।

Interview: Maruful Islam final interview কে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ stage হিসেবে বর্ণনা করেছেন এবং বলেছেন, questions অনেক সময় সরাসরি CV থেকে আসে। CV তে কোনো project, competition বা club role থাকলে সেখানে নিজের responsibility, challenges এবং outcome নিয়ে detailed follow up questions আসতে পারে। Interviewers communication, confidence এবং কেন এই internship করতে চান, সেটিও দেখেন। Interview এর আগে Aarong এবং BRAC সম্পর্কে ভালোভাবে research করা দরকার, যাতে organisation সম্পর্কে বাস্তব understanding নিয়ে কথা বলা যায়।

Is it paid?

Aarong AIP এর জন্য কোনো stipend প্রকাশ করেনি। আমরা যে application forms, LinkedIn posts এবং university notices দেখেছি, কোথাও payment এর কথা উল্লেখ নেই। Aarong এর own posts এর নিচে students "is it paid?" প্রশ্ন করেছেন, কিন্তু কোনো public answer আমরা পাইনি। তাই এখানে কোনো figure দেওয়া হচ্ছে না। Offer পেলে stipend সম্পর্কে HR কে জিজ্ঞেস করা স্বাভাবিক।

What happens after AIP

AIP শেষে চাকরি পাওয়ার বিষয়ে Aarong কোনো public promise দেয়নি, এবং কোনো published conversion rate ও পাওয়া যায়নি। তাদের posts এ interns দের বিভিন্ন function এ কাজ করা, Learning and Development team এর সঙ্গে training নেওয়া এবং business এর craft side দেখার কথা বলা হয়েছে। AIP কে দেশের পরিচিত একটি brand এর ভেতরে তিন মাসের real experience হিসেবে দেখুন এবং এর পাশাপাশি নিজের job search চালিয়ে যান।

What to get ready now

A short checklist for the weeks before the Spring 2027 post:

• Timing checked. Spring 2026 ran 15 February to 14 May. Know whether your last course ends before a similar start.
• CV finished, one page, with a real result against every club role, project and competition.
• People management and multitasking shown, since Aarong's form names both.
• A one minute story ready for every line on that CV.
• Aptitude practice in maths, English and analytical questions.
• BRAC and Aarong read up: what they do, who they work with, what they say their values are.
• Three months in Dhaka planned if you live elsewhere.
• Notifications on for BRAC Aarong on LinkedIn and your university career office's notices.

A word of caution

Apply করতে হবে শুধু Aarong এর LinkedIn page এ তারা যে link দেয়, সেটির মাধ্যমে অথবা কোনো university career office Aarong এর post থেকে যে link repost করে, সেটির মাধ্যমে। 2026 এর applications একটি Google Form এর মাধ্যমে নেওয়া হয়েছিল এবং কোথাও কোনো application fee এর তথ্য আমরা পাইনি। কেউ AIP এ ঢোকানোর জন্য টাকা চাইলে অথবা Aarong এর own posts থেকে linked নয় এমন কোনো form পাঠালে সেটি Aarong এর process নয়। আরও একটি practical বিষয় হলো, September 2025 এ কয়েকজন student একটি university repost এর নিচে comment করেছিলেন যে application link কাজ করা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছিল। Link কাজ না করলে কোনো copy এর ওপর নির্ভর না করে Aarong এর own post এ fresh link আছে কি না, সেটি check করা ভালো।
