Program Officer, Gender Equality Portfolio

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager in managing and contextualising the Gender Equality Portfolio
• Train master trainers, teachers and field staff on programme content and delivery
• Give technical oversight and on-site coaching to government officials and staff
• Build relationships with education officials, schools, communities and other NGOs
• Represent Room to Read at forums on girls’ education and gender equality

Requirements

• Master’s in Education, Social Work, Gender & Women Studies or related
• Minimum 7 years with NGOs, INGOs or the development sector
• Experience training adults and adolescents and adapting training content
• Excellent English and Bangla
• Frequent travel to Room to Read’s working areas
• Qualified female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
