What a Fresher CV for an MNC Application Should Contain: The Record in Bangladesh
We read what seven employers in Bangladesh have put in writing about the CV, and what recruits from their programmes say got them through. Here is the record, a section by section table, and the questions where published advice disagrees.

নতুনদের CV নিয়ে বেশিরভাগ পরামর্শ এমনভাবে লেখা হয়, যেন প্রতিটি employer একই ধরনের document চায়। আমরা বরং খুঁজে দেখেছি, বাংলাদেশের employer রা CV নিয়ে লিখিতভাবে কী জানিয়েছে এবং তাদের প্রতিষ্ঠানে নির্বাচিত প্রার্থীরা screening পার হওয়ার পেছনে কোন বিষয়গুলোকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বলে উল্লেখ করেছেন। 8 October 2026 তারিখে আমরা 7টি employer এর ওয়েবপেজ, application form ও job posting এবং 7টি programme এর নির্বাচিত প্রার্থীদের প্রকাশিত অভিজ্ঞতা পর্যালোচনা করেছি। এতে দুটি বিষয় স্পষ্ট হয়েছে। employer রা CV নিয়ে খুব কম তথ্য প্রকাশ করে, আর university ও newspaper এর পরামর্শেও CV এর দৈর্ঘ্য, photo এবং reference এর মতো মৌলিক বিষয়ে মতভেদ রয়েছে। এই গাইডে প্রথমে নথিভুক্ত তথ্য তুলে ধরা হয়েছে, এরপর CV তে কী রাখা উচিত সে বিষয়ে আমাদের পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে। কোনটি আমাদের নিজস্ব পরামর্শ, সেটিও স্পষ্টভাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।

Read the last column before you rely on a row. Unilever's FAQ was written for an earlier cycle, and its 2026 postings have been taken down. The BAT and Standard Chartered pages are written for every country, not for Bangladesh. Grameenphone's tips sit on a page that still says its internship "will resume from January 2023". None of the seven publishes a CV template, a required length or how a CV is scored.
7টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের তথ্য একসঙ্গে দেখলে একটি সাধারণ প্রবণতা চোখে পড়ে। employer রা যখন CV নিয়ে কিছু বলে, তখন শ্রেণিকক্ষের বাইরে প্রার্থীরা কী করেছেন, তার প্রমাণ দেখতে চায়। Grameenphone জানতে চায়, অন্যদের তুলনায় একজন প্রার্থীকে আলাদা করে কী এবং বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রম থেকে তিনি কী কী skill অর্জন করেছেন। BAT এর job posting এ extracurricular activities এ সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের কথা বলা হয়েছিল। Aarong এর screening criteria তে communication, people management এবং time management এর মতো বিষয় রয়েছে। তবে কোনো প্রতিষ্ঠানই নির্দিষ্ট design, font বা পৃষ্ঠাসংখ্যার কথা বলেনি। নতুনদের আশ্বস্ত করার মতো আরও দুটি বক্তব্য রয়েছে। Standard Chartered জানিয়েছে, তারা আগের কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা প্রত্যাশা করে না। Grameenphone জানিয়েছে, তারা grades দিয়ে কারও intelligence পরিমাপ করে না, যদিও technical concepts এবং business acumen যাচাই করে।
What recruits say got them through
7টি programme এ নির্বাচিত প্রার্থীরা TBS Graduates এ নিজেদের selection experience তুলে ধরেছেন। তাদের অভিজ্ঞতাগুলো CV তৈরির ক্ষেত্রেও একই ধরনের দিকনির্দেশনা দেয়। Robi GEM এর অভিজ্ঞতা অনুযায়ী, club activities, case competitions, hackathons, projects, campus ambassadorships, volunteering এবং part time jobs একটি CV কে শক্তিশালী করতে পারে। তবে শুধু এগুলোর নাম লিখলেই হবে না। কী করেছেন, কোন skill তৈরি হয়েছে এবং কী অর্জন করেছেন, সেটিও উল্লেখ করতে হবে। bKash bNext এর একজন alumnus জানিয়েছেন, তাঁর extracurricular activities এর অভিজ্ঞতা তাঁকে একজন team player হিসেবে নিজেকে তুলে ধরার সুযোগ দিয়েছে। Marico Impact 90 এর একজন intern তাঁর CV এর শক্তির পেছনে case competitions, আগের কাজের অভিজ্ঞতা এবং university clubs এর অবদান উল্লেখ করেছেন। Marico এর screening সম্পর্কে প্রকাশিত অভিজ্ঞতায় বলা হয়েছে, অতিরিক্ত design এর চেয়ে simplicity এবং clarity বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। Aarong এর একজন সাবেক intern জানিয়েছেন, অপ্রয়োজনীয় তথ্যে ভরা CV নেতিবাচক ধারণা তৈরি করে। BRAC BRIDGE এর একজন alumnus, যিনি club activities এ খুব বেশি সক্রিয় ছিলেন না, জানিয়েছেন, অন্য অর্থবহ অভিজ্ঞতাও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, যদি সেগুলো পরিষ্কারভাবে উপস্থাপন করা যায়।

The section order below follows the sample CVs that two university career offices publish for their own students, North South University's Career and Placement Center and AIUB's Office of Placement and Alumni. The contents column is drawn from the sources named beside it.

Experience without a job: how to write the lines
নতুনদের CV তে experience section সাধারণত সবচেয়ে দুর্বল অংশ হয়ে থাকে। এই ঘাটতি কীভাবে পূরণ করা যায়, সে বিষয়ে সূত্রগুলোতেও মিল রয়েছে। The Daily Star এর 2022 সালের গাইডে বলা হয়েছে, internship এর নাম শুধু উল্লেখ না করে সেখানে কী করেছেন এবং কী শিখেছেন, তা লিখতে হবে। University club এ leadership role পালন করলে কতজনের দায়িত্বে ছিলেন এবং কোন কোন event আয়োজন করেছেন, সেটিও উল্লেখ করা উচিত। তাদের 2017 সালের গাইডে একটি সহজ উদাহরণ দেওয়া হয়েছে: "Gathered event organising experience by working in ABC Club" লেখাটি "was a member of ABC Club" লেখার চেয়ে ভালো। The Business Standard এর 2022 সালের একটি প্রতিবেদনে একজন professional CV writer জানিয়েছেন, employer রা শুধু দায়িত্বের তালিকা নয়, আপনার কাজের ফলাফল জানতে চান। সংখ্যার ব্যবহার কাজের প্রভাব কতটা ছিল, তা বুঝতে সাহায্য করে।
আমাদের পরামর্শ হলো, CV এর প্রতিটি bullet point এ 4টি বিষয় রাখুন: role, action, scale এবং result। "Member, Business Club" লিখলে কাজের বিষয়ে তেমন কিছু জানা যায় না। এর বদলে "Led a team of six to run an inter university case competition for 120 participants" লিখলে একটি লাইনেই 4টি বিষয় বোঝানো যায়। এই উদাহরণের সংখ্যাগুলো শুধু বোঝানোর জন্য আমাদের দেওয়া, এগুলো বাস্তব কোনো অভিজ্ঞতার দাবি নয়। নিজের অভিজ্ঞতার প্রকৃত সংখ্যা ব্যবহার করুন এবং interview তে যেগুলোর পক্ষে যুক্তি দিতে পারবেন, শুধু সেগুলোই উল্লেখ করুন। The Daily Star এর 2022 সালের গাইডে একটি সতর্কতাও রয়েছে: club activities বা voluntary work কে professional experience section এ রাখবেন না। প্রতিটি অভিজ্ঞতার ধরন অনুযায়ী আলাদা section রাখুন, যাতে সঠিক প্রেক্ষাপটে সেগুলোর মূল্যায়ন করা যায়।

এখানে উল্লেখ করা কোনো সূত্রই employer এর নির্ধারিত নিয়ম নয়। University থেকে নেওয়া দুটি নমুনাও তাদের নিজস্ব শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য তৈরি করা হয়েছিল। তাই কোন নির্দেশনাকে অগ্রাধিকার দেওয়া উচিত, সে বিষয়ে আমাদের অবস্থান পরিষ্কার। প্রথমত, circular বা application form এ যা বলা হয়েছে, সেটিই অনুসরণ করুন। Photo, CGPA বা file format চাওয়া হলে ঠিক সেই নির্দেশনা মেনে দিন। দ্বিতীয়ত, কোনো নির্দেশনা না থাকলে নতুনদের CV আমরা 1 পৃষ্ঠায় রাখার পরামর্শ দিই। Photo চাওয়া না হলে তা বাদ দিন এবং reference শুধু সেই form এর জন্য রাখুন, যেখানে চাওয়া হয়েছে, যেমন BRAC এর form। তৃতীয়ত, শুধু "MS Office" না লিখে নির্দিষ্ট tool এর নাম উল্লেখ করুন, কারণ নির্বাচিত প্রার্থীদের 2টি অভিজ্ঞতায় Excel এর নাম আলাদাভাবে এসেছে। এই 3টি বিষয় আমাদের নিজস্ব পরামর্শ, কোনো প্রতিষ্ঠানের বাধ্যতামূলক শর্ত নয়।
Every line is an interview question
নির্বাচিত প্রার্থীদের 4টি অভিজ্ঞতায় interview সম্পর্কে একই কথা উঠে এসেছে: interview তে CV ধরে প্রশ্ন করা হয়। bNext এর একজন alumnus জানিয়েছেন, তাঁর CV থেকে পরিস্থিতিভিত্তিক প্রশ্ন করা হয়েছিল। Aarong এর একজন সাবেক intern বলেছেন, interviewers সরাসরি CV থেকে প্রশ্ন করেন এবং দায়িত্ব, চ্যালেঞ্জ ও কাজের ফলাফল নিয়ে আরও জানতে চান। BRIDGE এর একজন alumnus জানিয়েছেন, অধিকাংশ প্রশ্ন CV এবং job description থেকে আসে, তাই প্রতিটি point সম্পর্কে বিস্তারিত ব্যাখ্যা দেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি রাখতে হবে। Robi GEM এর অভিজ্ঞতায়ও CV, university activities এবং projects নিয়ে আলোচনার প্রস্তুতি রাখার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে। এখান থেকে আমাদের পরামর্শ হলো, CV তে এমন কোনো লাইন লিখবেন না, যেটি নিয়ে অন্তত 2 মিনিট কথা বলতে পারবেন না। Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management এর একজন vice president 2020 সালে The Business Standard কে জানিয়েছিলেন, অনেক আবেদনকারী এমন অর্জনের কথা লেখেন, যেগুলোর সঙ্গে তাঁদের প্রকৃত অংশগ্রহণ ছিল না। employer বিষয়টি কখনোই উপেক্ষা করবে না।
ATS, AI and the numbers nobody sources
Banglalink SAP 10.0 এর একজন Strategic Assistant August 2026 এ TBS Graduates কে জানিয়েছেন, 2026 সালে ATS friendly CV একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রয়োজন হয়ে উঠেছে। তাঁর পরামর্শ সহজ: তথ্য পরিষ্কারভাবে উপস্থাপন করুন, contact details সঠিক আছে কি না যাচাই করুন এবং CV PDF হিসেবে জমা দিন। AI ব্যবহারের বিষয়ে তাঁর বক্তব্য হলো, AI কে লেখক হিসেবে নয়, নিরীক্ষক হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতে হবে। কারণ recruiter রা প্রায়ই generic বা AI দিয়ে লেখা লাইন চিনতে পারেন। Robi GEM এর অভিজ্ঞতাতেও একই পরামর্শ রয়েছে। AI tools দিয়ে wording এবং structure উন্নত করা যায়, তবে CV তে নিজের প্রকৃত অভিজ্ঞতা থাকতে হবে এবং নিজের গল্পই তুলে ধরতে হবে।
আমাদের অনুসন্ধানে এমন কোনো employer পাওয়া যায়নি, যারা বাংলাদেশে কোন screening software ব্যবহার করে, CV কীভাবে score করে বা একজন recruiter কতক্ষণ ধরে একটি CV পড়েন, তা প্রকাশ করেছে। প্রতিটি CV দেখতে 6 থেকে 7 সেকেন্ড লাগে কিংবা প্রায় 75% CV কোনো মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছায় না, এমন পরিসংখ্যান প্রচলিত রয়েছে। 1 February 2026 তারিখের The Financial Express এর একটি প্রতিবেদনে এই দুটি তথ্যই উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, তবে যে গবেষণার সূত্র দেওয়া হয়েছে, সেটির নাম জানানো হয়নি। তাই তথ্যগুলোকে যাচাই না হওয়া দাবি হিসেবে বিবেচনা করাই যুক্তিযুক্ত। এই সংখ্যা ছাড়াও কার্যকর পরামর্শ দেওয়া সম্ভব: পরিচ্ছন্ন layout, standard headings এবং circular এ ব্যবহৃত শব্দগুলোর যথাযথ প্রয়োগ।

The form is part of the application
বেশ কয়েকটি প্রতিষ্ঠানে শুধু CV জমা দিলেই আবেদন সম্পূর্ণ হয় না। Unilever এর আগের একটি UFLP cycle এর FAQ তে বলা হয়েছে, application জমা দেওয়ার পর তা আর পরিবর্তন করা যায় না। একাধিক function এ আবেদন করলে সব application বাতিলও হতে পারে। BRAC এর internship form এ আবেদনের কারণ, personal statement এবং 2 জন academic referee এর তথ্য চাওয়া হয়। BRIDGE এর একজন alumnus জানিয়েছেন, form এর প্রশ্নের উত্তরে generic লেখা ব্যবহার করা একটি বড় সুযোগ হাতছাড়া করার মতো। Aarong এমন একটি form এর মাধ্যমে application নেয়, যার শুরুতেই screening criteria উল্লেখ করা থাকে। তাই CV খোলার আগেই application form ভালোভাবে পড়ে নিন। Form এর প্রশ্নগুলো থেকেই বোঝা যায়, screener কোন বিষয়গুলো দেখতে চান। আপনার CV এবং form এর উত্তরগুলোতে যেন একই অভিজ্ঞতা ও লক্ষ্য প্রতিফলিত হয়।
Before you submit
This checklist is ours. Each point comes from a source above.
- Read the circular and the form twice. Do exactly what they ask on photo, file format and documents.
- Keep it to one page unless the employer asks for more.
- Check your mobile number and email letter by letter. Unilever's FAQ tells applicants to watch the inbox, promotions and spam folders after applying.
- Give every activity line a role, an action, a scale and a result.
- Put internships and part time jobs under experience, clubs and volunteering under activities, and certificates in their own section.
- Remove any line you cannot explain in an interview.
- Ask someone else to read it for spelling and grammar.
- Save it as a PDF with your name in the file name.
