Assistant Manager – Maker, Outward Remittance, Operations

About the Job

The Outward Remittance Maker is responsible for scrutinizing and processing service remittance transactions while ensuring compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations and internal policies.

The role is also responsible for preparing and submitting regulatory reports to the respective departments on time, supporting team members in achieving the overall Remittance Unit targets, and communicating with internal customers and branches to resolve issues.

Functional Responsibilities

• Scrutinize and maintain records of documents received from service centers in accordance with bank and regulatory processes and policies to initiate remittance processing.
• Identify document lapses according to request type and contact the source to resolve issues during request processing.
• Execute FDD issuance and cancellation as per process.
• Initiate transactions in the core banking system and SWIFT server to execute outward remittances in accordance with rules and regulations.
• Execute Nostro reconciliation transactions against relevant outward payments.
• Receive and interpret query messages regarding outward remittances and arrange appropriate responses.
• Report and code all transactions accurately in the Online Form TM Monitoring System of the Central Bank, as applicable.
• Interact with Bangladesh Bank to obtain clarity on newly issued policies and guidelines.

Education & Experience

• 4-year Graduation or Master’s degree in any discipline from any university.
• Business Graduates will be preferred.
• 3 years of experience in any scheduled bank at a Remittance desk.

Technical & Behavioral Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze current situations and develop implementable solutions addressing immediate and long-term needs.
• Sound knowledge of GFET-v.01.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• Experience using any core banking software.
